HAZ STYLES (2) did well early on during his initial prep and will resume from a spell as a much stronger gelding. He has a couple of tune-up trials under his belt, and is the one to beat fresh up. TARMAC (8) was a Doomben trial comfortably before finishing runner-up as favourite on the Gold Coast poly track 3 weeks ago. He cops a tough gate, but can still go one better. COSMIC PROPORTIONS (9) ran on to finish third in a 6-horse field at the Gold Coast on their poly track. She is improving all the time and is worth including in all combinations. ROYAL EDITION (6) has had a couple of quiet trials and will be making his debut with the blinkers on for the first time. A good draw is an advantage, and on his home track, he will be among the hardest to beat. Use the market as your guide. IN GREAT SPIRIT (13) needed her fresh up run and will have the aid of a 2kg claim this time. With the right run, she can figure in the top 3, especially on a wet track.
