Plenty of pace from Gold Classic, Nosey Neo and Saraqael vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. SATISFIED MUGS (2) was quickly back into the winners circle, leading and winning an Open 2 here by 4L. He's recorded a 2.3L trial win since, and Butler will skip him over to the speed. Gets out to a longer sprint, but given the authority of his last win, it shouldn't be an issue. SARAQAEL (1) has been busting to win at this level down in Rockhampton. He freshened and backed off the map his latest, but was anchored by a big weight on a heavy track. He will run along from an inside barrier and will prove much harder to roll. BANG STICK (4) resumed gelded in the Satisfied Mugs race, and despite decent support looked short of a gallop. He won his only second-up outing, and Wiggins sticks aboard. The gate is awkward, but he's likely to race well. FABULEAN (11) belted the Maidens here by 5L, much improved. Peaks today and should be around the mark. Ditto SHEZA ALIBI (12), who has a similar profile SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Satisfied Mugs to win.
