A keen pace battle assured Minogue prominent, joined by Lucrative and Sonic Jet. OXALIS GOLD (7) is better than her last start in the Grade 2 Fillies Guineas. She was reported to be cut into on her right fore that day. She was an impressive winner in Grade 3 company in her penultimate run. She is at her best over this distance, and with a bit of luck in running, she may be the one to beat. GREEN SAPPHIRE (5) raced wide around the turn in the race referred to above, and she was reported to be not striding out. She won at Grade 3 level in her penultimate outing here over this trip. She has cracked a handy draw of five and is one of the leading contenders. BE MERRY (9) set the pace in the Grade 2 Fillies Guineas and fought hard all the way to the line. She won her penultimate outing over this distance. She is versatile, and she merits healthy respect. SCARLET MACAW (13) was not beaten far in the Grade 2 Fillies Guineas. She has a touch of class about her, and even from a wide gate, she would not be a shock winner here.
