Genuine tempo with Ho O Nouveau leading the way. EPONA (13) resumed from a spell last start with a sound second over 2000m at this track. Lightly raced filly who is back in good shape and ready to take the next step. STRAIGHT BLACK (10) made progress last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 2000m at this track. Starting to put things together and looks sure to run well. HO O NOUVEAU (4) finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last start after being prominent at the bend over 2000m at Niigata, an improvement on her first-up 11th at Nakayama the run before. Heading the right way and there is no reason she cannot find winning ways. LANCE OF FAITH (9) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. Opened last prep with a placing on debut over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Can kick off with a bold showing.
