GOING:

RIDGEMONT DEVON AIR STAKES 1400m

Track: GOOD   Clear (Max: 26)

Captains Envy, Tina Lovelace and Littlemisssplendid can establish a strong tempo despite the small field. EDUCATOR (1) was impressive when winning on debut over this distance at Scottsville last start. She lost a length leaving the start, had to be eased at the 1200m mark and finished off her race strongly. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She looks to be above average and can remain unbeaten. QUICKSTEPGAL (3) followed up her maiden win with a hard-fought victory last start. The daughter of Vercingetorix should have no issues with the rise to 1400m, and she can bring up the hat-trick. LITTLEMISSSPLENDED (4) rallied late when second over 1500m on the Vaal Classic course last time. She is in a good space and she looks to be a progressive type. Rates well as an each-way chance. CAPTAINS ENVY (5) placed second by a neck last start when fresh-up at Scottsville and should be prominent in the running. Can place.
