Strong tempo expected with Cold One, Two Ya Got and Wild Chap prominent. Tough. MAXIMUM VORTEX (3) was back to his best two back at Eagle Farm, but didn't finish it off as well there following. He's been freshened and tumbles 4kg at this level. He will race forward, and this is winnable. RALPHIE (4) was only beaten 2.2L at Doomben and is better placed here with the weight relief. Maps for a good run, and he deserves plenty of consideration. NED'S GULLY (1) is right up to this at best and was last seen third-up beaten 3.2L in Stakes grade at the track. He has been kept on the fresh side and can make the finish. ZOUPERB (10) found Stakes grade too tough at Doomben, but she went close in a 78 at Doomben prior. That's a better measure of her relative ability, and she will be hitting the line. TWO YA GOT (6) has been racing well in NSW and carries 9kgs less at this level, and will likely run along. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Maximum Vortex.
