Bagan and Validissimus look to bowl along in front. VALIDISSIMUS (1) is a progressive three-year-old colt who resumes from a break of 12 weeks, his last appearance being a win over 2200m at Chukyo. Should settle just off the lead. Leading contender. L'OTTOBRATA (9) settled well back last start and made little impact in the straight when eighth, beaten 6 lengths, over this journey in the G2 Kyoto Shimbun Hai. Perfectly placed back in this company and is sure to prove tough to beat. BAGAN (8) was thereabouts last time out when third over 2000m at Niigata. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. One of the better chances. JERONIMOS (3) was prominent at the corner and finished third last time over 2400m at Kyoto, beaten 2 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Placed to advantage and can run another bold race.
