Powerful Eagle has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. BIG BOY GEORGE (2) lost his way this year and failed to run up to expectations in Sydney earlier in the year. He has since joined the Mark Currie stable, and a change of scenery would have done him no harm. He has been to the trials, and his best form would see him winning this. HORSBURGH (10) is showing plenty of talent and got the job done by nearly a length when clearing his maiden status here 2 weeks ago. He is bred to only improve with more racing, and he can challenge the top pick late. POWERFUL EAGLE (1) is a very consistent gelding who made solid progress last year. He will be a lot stronger for this campaign and does normally come to hand quickly. Watch closely for any market moves. SCRIPT WRITER (5) has not won for some time, but could have found the right race here. Don't risk him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Big Boy George to win.
