A solid tempo anticipated with Surreal Ascot and Miss De Blaas ahead of Bulsara and Pungo.
GROOVIN' THE MOO (2) is a very competitive gelding at this level, and he will be resuming from a spell with the aid of a handy 3kg claim. He has won fresh up in the past and is at his best over 1000m. If he doesn't need the run, then he becomes the one to beat. AKAKA FALLS (1) has not won for some time, but is racing very consistently. The blinkers are off again, and his usual honest effort can be expected, no matter what the track conditions are. UNCLE RUSS (3) has changed stables again after finishing well back fresh up at Ipswich 4 weeks ago. He looked a lot better at a recent trial, and from the pole position, he should not be underestimated in this. SURREAL ASCOT (6) delivered as expected fresh up and then was fourth as favourite on this track 3 weeks ago, after making most of the running. She is likely to race on the pace again and can make amends. Follow your money. PUNGO (5) has been in the finish in his last 3 starts and is always worth including in all multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Uncle Russ each way.
