CRYSTAL VAIN (1) raced close to the pace and proved to be too good fresh up on this track 2 weeks ago. He is normally even better second up, and after a 4kg claim, he will carry 2.5kg less this time. He is clearly on top again. RED REBEL (3) was a beaten favourite behind the top pick in the same race fresh up and needed the run badly. He has a good draw and should finish a lot closer here. STARRING KNIGHT (2) was runner-up in the same race as the top 2 picks, and he too is expected to improve quickly with a run under his belt. Stick with him. ROEY CLAM (7) will be bringing through the same form line and is another who is at the start of his prep. Include in all combinations. BIN SHALAA (5) beat a lesser field by a head fresh up here 2 weeks ago over 1000m. The extra furlong will suit him, and with 4.5kg less to carry, he won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Crystal Vain to win.
