Plenty of pace from Command Pilot, Mastership and The Front Line vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. BACCHUS (1) has been safely held in tougher company at his last two runs, the latest in stakes class when seventh in the G1 SA Derby at this track. Well-placed in this company and is expected to bounce back. ARTIST'S MODEL (5) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when second over 1600m at this track 12 weeks ago. Good record at this journey with two wins and two minor placings from five starts and looks a top chance. COMMAND PILOT (4) missed the frame when resuming last start over 1750m at Scottsville but wasn't all that far from the winner. Races well when second-up. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. One of the main contenders. MASTERSHIP (6) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 1400m at this track, finishing sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Has a decent second up record. Should be much improved.
