Homeric and Li'l Grug will settle forward and can set a moderate tempo. HOMERIC (5) draws wide but must be kept safe first up after some handy trials of late. Looks a stronger horse now. PICK UP THE TAB (2) has some solid race experience on these and has been trialling well of late. Ideally placed first up. CIFONELLI (1) was unplaced in a summer debut but recent trials have been much healthier. Can improve sharply. WESTERN LANE (4) jumps in trip after having every chance on debut as favourite. SUGGESTED PLAY: Homeric win.
