Little early speed on offer so On The Rivet should be prominent. DAVID MOSS (2) finally gets back out over a middle distance, and he only has to run up to his third at Riccarton in his penultimate start, to be the one to beat in this. On top for us. NIGEL (1) was an overdue maiden winner at the end of his last prep in late June, and he has been kept in work over his spell, as he is resuming at 2000m. He can park just off the pace, and he looks like he can make further progress through the grades this season. DIVINE SPIRIT (5) has been battling through his winter campaign, but he should relish getting out over 2000m for the first time in a while. A form reversal is on the cards. SECRET WISH (7) is normally running on in her races, and she was doing just that over 1600m last time out. If she is close enough before the home turn, then she can figure in the top 3 again. OUT OF THE PICTURE (4) is capable on his day, and could be looking for a firmer surface. Keep him safe in all top 4 combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: David Moss can win this.
