From the wide draw J L Keel can cross and set up a solid tempo. ATHENA BRAVE (11) raced on the speed last start and battled on well but found one better over 1600m at Niigata. Going well enough to take this out. CELESTINA (3) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1400m at Niigata. Likely improver who should go well. J L KEEL (12) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 1400m at Niigata in a tougher race. Breaks from a wide draw but she should be in the finish. VEIL DOWN (4) settled well back and made a little late ground when 4 lengths away in ninth over 1600m at Niigata on debut last start. Has upside and can measure up.
