A solid tempo on the cards with Rhinestone Rory leading the way. STARGUST (5) has been racing well, and has run his best races when ridden positively early on, and from a handy draw he can jump with them to control the pace. He won his penultimate start by racing handy to the pace throughout, and he can do the same here. LOOSE LIP LLOYD (9) is a tough old local veteran who has won 8 of his 20 starts on his home track, and at this level, he is always a threat. RHINESTONE RORY (1) has often found it hard to win, but he looks set to change that this season after a big win fresh up at Naracoorte. He benefits from a 2kg claim, and only has to run up to that recent form, to be a winning chance again. Stick with him. ROBERT THE PUSS (2) is a last start Naracoorte winner who has not missed a cheque in 3 starts on this track, including a win. He needs it wet, and is well worth including.
