A race that lacks early pressure. ENERGETIC (2) has been thereabouts in town, and was fourth at Pinjarra in his penultimate start. That sort of form stacks up nicely in this area, and with Chris Parnham in the saddle, he is the one to beat. PEANUT BUTTER (1) has been steadily improving since joining the powerful local stable of Peter Fernie, and he was third here 2 weeks ago. A good draw should ensure that he is right in the finish again. VIVALDA (4)is another Fernie runner who has been following the same path as her stablemate and second pick. She is likely to be running on late again, so stick with her. SOVEREIGN CRUST (6) was runner-up here a fortnight ago over 1100m, and she won't have to improve by much to pick up a win at short notice. PAUL PARTY (8) will be peaking third up, and with a drop in class, he is ready to put his best hoof forward in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Energetic can win this.
