Genuine pace with Arc Noir taking up the running ahead of Lily Sunrise and Peach Avalanche. ARC NOIR (8) goes in top on recent Saga form, with successive thirds by a length and then two and a half lengths giving her the most reliable profile among the main chances. She was odds-on last start and is still a maiden after 13 run so she must convert rather than merely run well again. VELOCION (4) is the main danger after closing into second behind Vin Rose and backing up a prior third behind Dona Casamiento; she has placed in both Saga appearances and looks ready to win if she finds the extra length or two. LE PREMIER AMOUR (3) has the light weight and the recent head-to-head edge over Velocion, having placed at both starts here. KAKOGAN (5) is harder to make a winning case for after 17 starts without a victory, but his Sonoda run two back and latest placing keep him in the mix.

LILY SUNRISE
TAKAYOSHI KAWADA 3YO DK B FILLY 54.0KG Life House Co. Ltd. Returns from six weeks off after a plain last-start display at Saga, where she led in a 3yo+ COND on fast ground before dropping out to finish last, beaten over 19 lengths at big odds. The previous third behind Willy's Rock was better, though still seven and a half lengths away. A class drop and fitness help only so much; she needs a much stronger finish to trouble these. |

PEACH AVALANCHE
MASANORI MASHIMA 3YO BLACK FILLY 54.0KG Kichitsugu Miyazaki Had market support first-up at Saga but failed to justify it, finishing eighth and beaten over 18 lengths behind Sunrise Hunter on good ground. Her previous run was a dominant 3yo COND win here by eight lengths over Ouranos Tesoro, so the track-and-trip credentials are not in dispute. The task is proving that latest failure was an aberration; she is a place hope if she rebounds. |

LE PREMIER AMOUR
MOTONORI MASHIMA 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 51.0KG Akihiko Takamura Comes through two solid Saga placings, most recently third behind Explode when beaten two and a half lengths after working home evenly in an open market. She was also second to Dona Casamiento two back as favourite and has already had the better of Velocion here. Still a maiden, but the 51kg and consistent local form give her a genuine winning platform. |

VELOCION
HIROFUMI WATANABE 3YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Asami Yasuhara Lifted again at Saga last start, working into the race neatly before finishing second to Vin Rose, beaten two lengths. That followed a third behind Dona Casamiento, so she has built a tidy local platform this preparation. Le Premier Amour has beaten her recently, but the return of a leading track rider is a positive and she looks close enough to make this competitive. |

KAKOGAN
KAZUO HAMADA 4YO BROWN HORSE 56.0KG Masanobu Habata Returns from six weeks off after finishing third at Saga behind Meisho Hayase, beaten seven and a half lengths after running past tiring horses. His Sonoda effort two back was more competitive, beaten just over two lengths in a 3yo+ C3 at generous odds. The 17-start maiden record is the ceiling, but his place consistency keeps him in the minor-money discussion. |

MAY BLOSSOM
MORIYUKI YORIMOTO 4YO CHESTNUT FILLY 54.0KG Normandy Thoroughbred Racing Co. Ltd. Was at long odds and beaten over 19 lengths when ninth behind Sunrise Hunter at Saga last start, with no clear excuse offered. The run prior had more merit, making late ground for fourth behind Variation after spotting them a big start. She has track-and-trip winning background, but this season's record is plain and she needs the race to fall kindly. |

LORD AL FINE
HIROSHI NAKANO 5YO BAY HORSE 56.0KG Lord Horse Club Co. Ltd. Finished fourth behind Hades Tesoro at Saga last start, but the margin tells the real story as he was never competitive and beaten out of sight at long odds. His prior Morioka Dirt run was sounder, seventh in a 3yo+ C1 and beaten five and a half lengths. With three career wins he has more substance than some, yet he needs to quicken better to be a serious threat. |

ARC NOIR
MASANORI MASHIMA 3YO BROWN FILLY 54.0KG KR Japan Led at Saga last start as an odds-on favourite and was only run down late, finishing third to Urban King and beaten two and a half lengths. Her prior third behind Queen's Himawari, beaten a length at bigger odds, reads well too. The 13-start maiden record is the obvious concern, but she should again put herself in the right spot and gets a clear chance to break through. |

EXCELLEN PRIME
KAZUO HAMADA 3YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Hideki Nakano Dropped right out at Saga last start, finishing last behind Hades Tesoro and tailed off after giving little in the straight. The run before was also poor, last of eight behind Rouge Paradis and beaten over 14 lengths when unwanted in the market. A class drop is not enough on exposed evidence; she must find a major turnaround. |

WIZARD OF MARI
SHINICHI HIGASHI 3YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Mariko Yano Made up good ground at Saga last start for fourth behind Explode, beaten three and a half lengths at big odds. That followed a close second over 900m behind Meisho Ruby, when she was near the top of betting and led to the turn. She did finish behind Le Premier Amour recently, but her last two runs are honest enough to make her a realistic place player. |

RYUNO TOMATO
KINYA KITAMURA 3YO DK B FILLY 53.0KG Has been well held at both recent Saga runs, finishing seventh behind Sunrise Hunter last start and beaten over 16 lengths at long odds. She was also seventh behind Odai two back, beaten over 15 lengths after settling rearward. The broader record is a serious concern, with no placings from 28 starts, so others make far more appeal. |
