Must Bee has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ROCKY BELLE (2) has steadily improved with racing this prep, and he was only beaten by a short-head at Hawera 4 weeks ago. He maps to receive the run of the race from the pole position, and it could be his day in the sun here. YTOA (3) won a trial prior to finishing a game third on debut at Whanganui over 1200m. This 6YO gelding is only having his second career start, and his breeding says he will relish the extra 400m here. Each way claims again. BRILLIANT DEEJAY (4) will be better after having his first run over 1600m at Hawera 4 weeks ago, where he plugged on fairly well. He has needed time to mature, like most in this, and is now ready to put his best hoof forward. Keep him safe. OUR SHOCKS (1) is a limited 8YO gelding resuming from a spell on his home track where he has been placed in 3 of his 6 starts. If he doesn't need the run, then he can figure in the top 4.
