The Cool One to take up the running at a moderate tempo. FOUROFUS (4) has been running on late in both of his starts back from a spell, and has won his only start here over this trip. He cops another wide gate, which may force his jockey's hand again to settle near the rear, but if the pace is on, he is good enough to finish all over the top of them here. THE COOL ONE (3) raced close to the pace and peaked on his run late when finishing fifth at Wingatui last start when following on from a sound fourth fresh up. There are no more fitness concerns third up from a spell, and he should be a top 3 chance in this. DINK (7) did it easily when winning her maiden at her first start in the South Island. She had a lot in hand that day, and she can repeat the dose in this. SHOOTING STRIDE (10) has turned a corner recently with her form, and was fighting on gamely for second last start. Each-way claims again. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Cool One each way.
