GOING: H(10)

SOUTHERN SHEEP SERVICES 1335m

Track: HEAVY 10     Out 2m

A solid tempo on the cards with Magnastar leading the way. MAGNASTAR (3) has been racing in good form through a winter campaign, and was only worried out of a win by a neck at Wingatui last time out. He is at his best on a heavy track, and while they are still around, he will always be hard to hold out in these types of races. INDIE ARDIE (2) made up a lot of ground to finish fourth in the same race as the top pick when resuming from a spell. She will continue to improve with racing, and a firmer surface would also be in her favour. Stick with her. MONAGHAN BOY (1) resumed in the same race as the top 2 picks, and blew out after receiving a cosy run. That run would have brought his condition on nicely, and he will be a lot more competitive this time. GO LOTTE (4) will find this easier than her last couple of starts at Riccarton, and more importantly, she has won 3 of her 6 starts here over this trip. Freshened, and ready to run a big race. MAMAEA (6) strips fitter second up, and she can run into the top 3 here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Go Lotte each way at value.
