Race 7 1400m Track: |

|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Solid tempo anticipated with American Cool leading the way. MISTERIO (9) has won his last two outings at this track, the latest by three lengths as favourite after an eight-length success over 1600m. He brings the strongest current form and his record with Eita Inoue adds further authority. I BLANCO (6) is the main danger, having justified very short odds with a three-length win here and having been beaten only a length by Mozu Rickey two starts back. AMERICAN COOL (1) draws for a soft run and has the record to trouble them, but his last two runs as favourite leave a query despite the third-up profile. TESORINO (3) is the value runner among the main hopes, returning from a two-month freshening after a fast-finishing 1600m win and owning a solid Kochi 1400m record.

AMERICAN COOL
YUJI UCHIKOSHI 4YO DK B HORSE 57.0KG Yoshizawa Holdings Co. Ltd Returns from a two-month freshening after finishing third at Kochi, beaten four lengths as odds-on favourite behind Adler, where he loomed but was never a real winning threat. The start prior was poor, finishing last and beaten over 15 lengths by Top American after travelling near the speed. Barrier one suits his natural leader profile, and the career record is strong, but he must restore trust before being treated as more than a place chance. |

MASA WOOD TAIL
MASAMITSU SAKAI 4YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Masanori Kaji Closed into third in a 3yo+ C2 at Kochi last start, but was still beaten just over six lengths by Copano Curacao and started at big odds. The prior run was similar in level, finishing seventh behind Meisho Inuwashi after settling well back and making no impression. His track-and-distance place record is respectable, yet the lack of winning edge keeps the bar high. |

TESORINO
TETSUYA NAGASE 4YO GREY HORSE 55.0KG Kazumi Yoshida Returns from a two-month freshening following a strong 3yo+ C2 win over 1600m at Kochi, charging from well back to beat Happy Bivouac by two lengths. He had earlier run third behind Tiger Wagon, beaten just over a length as favourite, so the recent form has substance. Back to 1400m, where he has three wins and one placing from eight starts here, he profiles as a sound place hope with upside. |

SURMOUNT
Toshihiro Nishigawa 5YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Worked home into fourth in a 3yo+ C2 at Kochi last start, beaten just over six lengths by Copano Curacao after settling rearward. His previous fourth behind Nicholaus was better on the margin, beaten three and a half lengths at long odds. The class drop is useful and he has placed twice from five runs at the distance, but he still needs a sharper closing effort to win. |

RESURRECTIO
YUJI UCHIKOSHI 4YO CHESTNUT GELDING 57.0KG Three H Racing Co. Ltd. Resumed with a second in a 3yo+ C2 at Kochi, beaten six lengths by Copano Curacao after having plenty to do before running on. His previous run before the break was another second, beaten a length by Reward Imperio, so the consistency is clear. One win from 14 starts tempers the winning case, but a 71% career place rate keeps him very relevant for the minors. |

I BLANCO
MAMORU TANAKA 9YO CHESTNUT HORSE 57.0KG Life Enterprise Co. Ltd. Confirmed his resurgence at Kochi last start, winning a 3yo+ C2 by three lengths from Just A Spark after being heavily supported into very short odds-on territory. That followed a solid second to Mozu Rickey over 1600m, beaten a length when near the top of betting. The veteran is lightly exposed at this track but has a win and a placing from two Kochi runs, giving him a strong platform again. |

DAICHI VIVANT
TOMOHARU EBESUMOTO 7YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Hidetoshi Hattori Returns from a three-month break after finishing last at Kochi, where he was well held behind Rhein Message at long odds. The start prior was no better, finishing last and well beaten by 24 lengths behind Diamond Fuji after fading late. He has won at this track and distance, but the recent form is a major concern and he needs a marked turnaround. |

ASCII ART
YOICHI MIYAJI 6YO DK B MARE 55.0KG Mill Farm Co. Ltd. Was well beaten by 25 lengths at Kochi last start behind Mozu Rickey over 1600m, and there was no clear excuse after racing just off the leaders. The run prior was much more encouraging, leading and only being run down late when second to Adler by a length. Back in trip helps her case and her record with Seiya Tatara is positive, but she must leave the latest effort well behind. |

MISTERIO
YUJI UCHIKOSHI 4YO BROWN HORSE 57.0KG Made it two wins in a row at Kochi last start, taking a 3yo+ C2 by three lengths from Three Rose as favourite after putting the race away quickly. His previous win was even stronger, beating Win Liberale by eight lengths over 1600m as odds-on favourite. With four wins and six places from 16 starts and two wins from two rides for Eita Inoue, he brings the cleanest winning form into the race. |
