Passio will stride forward but there are few debutants who can keep him honest. Siding with WRITTEN EMPIRE (8) off an encouraging debut here over 1300m, beaten half a length by the Group-performed Zambales. Should relish the rise to 1500m and will come on from the experience. Sets up very well from the gate and should go close. PASSIO (5) has just found one better in both starts to date, chasing a handy one on debut at Sale in strong time before stepping up to this trip at Mornington last time and running well. Can improve again. BLUE GAMBLE (9) is a Russian Revolution filly on debut for the Moody & Coleman yard who can run well from the inside. RESTRICT ME NOT (6) is a Shamus Award colt who has shown ability and can figure. SUGGESTED PLAY: Written Empire to win.
