Race 10 1300m Track: |

|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Good pace from Naeil Na, Win Liberale and Zokuzoku going forward. BAL MUSETTE (3) gets the first call despite an odds-on flop here last start, because his previous second, beaten a head by Craving Honor, is the strongest recent piece of form. He is third-up now and the class relief gives him the right platform to rebound. WINDSOR BAROWS (2) is the main danger; his last run at big odds was plain, but the run prior saw him flash home for third over 1600m at Kochi and his overall record has more depth than most of these. NAEIL NA (1) has to answer for a heavy last-start defeat behind Misterio, yet his fourth to Apsara in 3yo+ C1 grade two back and proven Kochi profile keep him firmly in the race. ZOKUZOKU (10) is a place chance with the best case built around her two-length fifth as favourite two runs ago and a reliable record with Masayoshi Yamasaki.

NAEIL NA
JOJI TANAKA 5YO DK B HORSE 57.0KG Mill Farm Co. Ltd. Was second last at Kochi a fortnight ago, beaten over 18 lengths by Misterio after settling handy and offering no challenge, so that run cannot be dressed up. His previous fourth in 3yo+ C1 company behind Apsara, beaten just over three lengths, reads far better for this C2. A track-and-trip winner with the winning rider back, he can rebound sharply if that latest failure proves the outlier. |

WINDSOR BAROWS
MAI MIYAGAWA 5YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Finished seventh behind Misterio last start, beaten over 12 lengths at big odds, but he kept working when never a winning hope. The stronger pointer is his third here two runs back over 1600m, where he came from an unlikely spot to be beaten a length and a half by Meisho Inuwashi. With a 56% career place rate and two track-and-trip placings, he remains a serious player if he reproduces that earlier finish. |

BAL MUSETTE
SHINJI KUDO 7YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Normandy Thoroughbred Racing Co. Ltd. Failed to justify odds-on support at Kochi last start, finishing eighth and beaten nine and a half lengths by Copano Curacao when never a winning hope. That is a genuine warning, but his fresh run in 3yo+ C1 grade was excellent, charging home to miss Craving Honor by a head. Third-up with class relief, he brings the clearest peak performance and is the one they have to beat if he returns to it. |

DAITA JUSTICE
JOJI TANAKA 5YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Tetsutaro Nakagomi Improved into third behind Baby Boss here last start, though the margin was still six and a half lengths and he could not quicken when the race was there to be attacked. His previous seventh in 3yo+ C1 company was only moderate, but three placings from five runs at the Kochi 1300m keeps him in the minor-money mix. The booking of Shuji Akaoka helps his case without making him a clear win play. |

BOMA LINE
TOMOHARU EBESUMOTO 9YO BAY GELDING 57.0KG Shoji Nojima Has been beaten soundly at his past two, most recently tenth behind Copano Curacao at Kochi and beaten over 12 lengths at long odds after making no headway. The prior tenth in 3yo+ C1 company behind Apsara was no stronger. He has won at this track and distance and has a long association with Naoki Kimura, but current form leaves him with a substantial task. |

COCOLI HAKUTAKU
YUMA KAWANO 4YO BAY HORSE 57.0KG Kojiro Misaki Made some improvement when fourth behind Misterio last start, but he was still beaten ten lengths after settling rearward. That followed a last placing over 1600m behind Meisho Inuwashi, beaten a long way after giving ground in the run home. His career record is respectable and he has placed at this course and distance, yet recent margins say he needs a much stronger finish. |

DIAMOND BEACH
SHINJI KUDO 6YO BROWN HORSE 57.0KG Normandy Thoroughbred Racing Co. Ltd. Has finished sixth at his past two and was beaten over 11 lengths on each occasion, first by Mozu Rickey over 1600m and then by Misterio at Kochi last start. He was nearer the top of an open market two runs back but still came under pressure late, which makes the current form hard to support. A class drop is some help, but his distance record remains a query. |

WIN LIBERALE
TOMOHARU EBESUMOTO 5YO CHESTNUT HORSE 57.0KG Win Co. Ltd. Battled from just off the pace when eighth behind Misterio last start, beaten over 14 lengths at big odds. His second to the same winner two runs back came by eight lengths, so even the placing lacked winning force. A Kochi 1300m win and previous success with Junya Ishimoto are positives on paper, but his latest effort makes improvement essential. |

SANONO GOLD
TETSUYA NAGASE 5YO CHESTNUT HORSE 57.0KG Nobuyuki Sano Worked home into fifth behind Copano Curacao last start, beaten just over six lengths at long odds, which was a better run than his second-last effort in 3yo+ C1 company behind Cosmo Luteus. He has placed three times from nine attempts at the Kochi 1300m, but the wider record shows only one win from 53 starts. That leaves him looking more a place chance than a horse to lean on for the win. |

ZOKUZOKU
TATSUYA NAKANISHI 4YO GREY FILLY 55.0KG Was safely held when seventh behind Copano Curacao last start, beaten just over eight lengths, so she needs to find her better form. Two runs back she was a well-supported favourite over 1600m and was beaten only two lengths by Meisho Inuwashi after looming without quite finishing into the top three. Her record with Masayoshi Yamasaki is solid enough to keep her in the place discussion. |
