Race 8 900m Track: SOFT True |
||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
|
From the wide gate Rock My Soul should cross and lead. ROCK MY SOUL (11) sets the standard on exposed 900m form, having won here two back before leading again and finishing second to King Sukeyo as an odds-on favourite. The wide draw means he still has work to do early, but his Kawasaki track-and-distance record gives him the most reliable profile. ACTION BRIQUET (10) is the obvious danger after beating No Side Girl by nine lengths here as an odds-on favourite, although she must confirm that spike against stronger pressure. GIGANTOMACHIA (7) keeps finding the money at this course and trip, but his lack of a win from 14 starts is the standing query. MARVELLOUS TIARA (2) was poor first-up over 1500m, yet the drop back to 900m brings her onto a proven winning distance. WHITE FUJI (12) went closest of the closers last start and is a place threat again.

PIES PULIDO
KATSUYOSHI UCHIDA 3YO BAY COLT 57.0KG Placed in both runs this campaign, most recently third to King Sukeyo at Kawasaki, beaten four lengths after looming without ever properly threatening. His previous third over 1400m was sound enough, beaten just under two lengths after leading and conceding late. The track-and-trip record is useful, but he has been held by Rock My Soul recently and needs another step to trouble the main chances. |

MARVELLOUS TIARA
Hiroyuki Mogi 3YO BROWN FILLY 54.0KG Drops sharply back to 900m after finishing last over 1500m at Kawasaki first-up, beaten over 18 lengths when unwanted in the market. That run had no clear excuse, and her seventh to La Tarantella before the break was also only fair. The stronger case is that she is a Kawasaki winner and has won at this distance, so the set-up is far more suitable if she can rebound quickly second-up. |

D'S METHOD
KATSUYOSHI UCHIDA 3YO DK B FILLY 54.0KG Led into the straight here last start before tiring into sixth behind Harbor Show, beaten four lengths at big odds. The run prior was weaker, finishing seventh behind Rock My Soul after being unable to make ground from well back. She has a track-and-trip win in the book, but nine unplaced runs this season and a distance query make this a demanding assignment. |

MONGE TIME
YOSHIHISA SUZUKI 3YO BAY COLT 56.0KG Settled well back and kept on only fairly when seventh to King Sukeyo here last start, beaten seven and a half lengths after being unwanted in the market. He was also ninth behind Flower Girl S the run prior, so the recent form lacks a sharp finish. The class drop and race fitness help his place case, but an unplaced record at this track and distance keeps the winning bar high. |

DAIRYU LUCKY
JUNICHI MURATA 3YO CHESTNUT COLT 56.0KG Raced just behind the leaders but was only battling when eighth to Harbor Show at Kawasaki last start, beaten five and a half lengths. His previous eighth behind Rock My Soul was similar, coming under pressure late after settling midfield. A prior win at this track and distance gives him some grounding, but the last two runs say he must lift sharply. |

ANGE BELLE
Hiroyuki Takahashi 3YO BAY FILLY 55.0KG Got too far back and only passed tired runners when ninth to King Sukeyo here last start, beaten just over eight lengths at big odds. The better reference is her third behind Rock My Soul two runs back, when she travelled well but still had too much to do from the rear. She has placed at the track and distance, yet her racing pattern leaves little margin for error. |

GIGANTOMACHIA
JUNICHI MURATA 3YO BAY COLT 57.0KG Mr.horse Closed his margin to just over a length when third behind Harbor Show at Kawasaki last start, having settled rearward and stayed on from well back. Two back he was close enough but did not quicken behind Flower Girl S, so the finishing burst remains the key question. Still, three placings from four starts at this track and distance make him a genuine winning chance if the leaders overdo it. |

MARON DE PETIT
SATOSHI KODA 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 54.0KG Was safely held when sixth to G Campione over 1500m here last start, beaten five and a half lengths at generous odds. The run prior was more concerning, finishing tenth over 1400m after having the right run and offering little. She has placed often enough at Kawasaki to have some minor-money background, but dropping to 900m asks a different question. |

ESTRELA REZA
SATOSHI KODA 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 52.0KG Improved to fourth behind Harbor Show at Kawasaki last start, beaten just over two lengths at big odds after sitting just off the lead. That was clearly better than her second-last to Rock My Soul two back, where she was beaten just over nine lengths. The light weight is a positive, but she remains unplaced in four starts at this track and distance and must prove the latest lift was no one-off. |

ACTION BRIQUET
Sakai Shinobu 3YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Tetsutaro Nakagomi Dominated at Kawasaki last start, beating No Side Girl by nine lengths over 900m as an odds-on favourite. That was a major turnaround from her sixth behind Rock My Soul the run prior, when she settled just off the pace and faded late. She has now won at the track, distance and with Akira Harita aboard, so the ability is there if she handles the wider barrier and repeats that latest figure. |

ROCK MY SOUL
SUNAO YAMADA 3YO BAY COLT 57.0KG Led again and finished second to King Sukeyo at Kawasaki last start, beaten two lengths as an odds-on favourite. That defeat came after a strong 900m win here, where he beat Harbor Show by two and a half lengths and put a clear gap on the field. His record over this track and distance is very solid, and despite the awkward barrier he looks the runner they have to catch. |

WHITE FUJI
SUNAO YAMADA 3YO DK B COLT 56.0KG Went very close at Kawasaki last start, finishing second to Harbor Show and beaten half a length after travelling well from midfield. He had earlier kept on for fifth behind Rock My Soul, beaten four and a half lengths after settling rearward at big odds. The recent lift is genuine and he beat Gigantomachia and Action Briquet last time, but his maiden record keeps him more a strong place hope than a clear top pick. |
