Placentia Bay has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. Really keen on PLACENTIA BAY (2) here who presents third up and ready to win. Two runs back have been good, battling on for fourth at Sale over 1717m second up. Should be at peak fitness now and this race does look relatively thin. He'll get every hope from the draw and take catching. JOHNICH (1) resumes. He was last seen running fifth in the VRC St Leger in a brutally run 2800m. Has the ability, 61.5kg over 1700m fresh is the query. STUNTMAN (3) is coming off a narrow maiden win at Ballarat Synthetic over 1400m, scoring by a neck.
