Race 6 1400m Track: SOFT True |

|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Mitono Teio to take up the running at a moderate tempo. WISE BLAZE (3) has the most compelling recent profile, building from a third to a neck second at Kawasaki and now landing third-up with consistent track-and-distance placings behind him. MEINER MONT BLANC (4) brings the strongest career record and is two from two at 1400m, though he resumes from a two-month break and has to transfer Nagoya form to Kawasaki. MITONO TEIO (6) maps best of the main chances, likely to race on speed after being beaten just under a length here first-up. SARASA CHARMING (11) improved to be beaten two lengths behind Riko Walleye and is a genuine danger if she holds that level. CIEL RISE (7) was well held when backed last time, so the 1400m query keeps him more in the place bracket.

BACKTRACK
HIROMI YAMAZAKI 3YO CHESTNUT GELDING 54.0KG Was second last at Kawasaki last start, beaten over 16 lengths by Cutie Phaethon after settling a long way back and making no impression. The start prior was only marginally better when fifth here, beaten over 11 lengths after being unwanted in the market. Weight relief and race fitness help at the edges, but the recent margins leave him with a substantial task. |

BA BA BA BOOM
Sakai Shinobu 3YO BAY COLT 56.0KG Returns from a four-month break after a plain fifth at Kawasaki, beaten over 14 lengths by Harbor Show when among the outsiders. His previous fourth had some merit through the line, but he was still beaten over 11 lengths by Pawa Poke Kanon. Unplaced in all four starts at this track and distance, so he must return a sharper horse. |
2 TAKUTO IKETANI |

WISE BLAZE
TERUKAZU IMAI 3YO BAY COLT 55.0KG Went very close at Kawasaki last start, finishing second and beaten a neck by Riko Walleye after being near the top of betting. That was a clear step forward from his third here prior, when he started at long odds and settled rearward before staying on. Two placings from three starts at this track and distance give him a strong platform, provided he puts the near-miss behind him. |

MEINER MONT BLANC
KENICHI TAKATSUKI 3YO BROWN COLT 56.0KG Thoroughbred Club Ruffian Co. Ltd. Returns from a two-month let-up after closing off for fourth at Nagoya, beaten seven and a half lengths by Blood Moon despite having plenty to do. Two back he was third in a 3yo+ COND at Nagoya, beaten just under four lengths and respected in betting. His two wins from two starts at 1400m are a major positive, and the new Kawasaki stable adds interest. |

AFFIRMATIVE
HIROAKI KAWAZU 3YO BAY COLT 56.0KG Finished ninth at Kawasaki last start, beaten over 14 lengths by Cutie Phaethon after settling well back and never looking likely at long odds. The run prior was also modest when eighth here, beaten just over eight lengths by Vuelo Oscuras. His overall record remains winless from 16 starts, so the class drop is not enough on its own. |
5 YUKI FURUOKA |

MITONO TEIO
YOSHIHISA SUZUKI 3YO BAY COLT 56.0KG Royal Park Resumed with a strong Kawasaki second, beaten just under a length by Cutie Phaethon after being caught late. His prior Nagoya fourth over 1700m was also sound, beaten two lengths by Miracle Kaiser when working home evenly at generous odds. He has placed in both 1400m attempts and should get a more forward run than most of the key rivals. |

CIEL RISE
H SASAKI 3YO CHESTNUT COLT 56.0KG Hiroyuki Yoshioka Had market respect first-up at Kawasaki but could only finish seventh, beaten over 11 lengths by Cutie Phaethon after settling handy and failing to quicken. Two back in a 3yo ALLOW at Tokyo Dirt he was second last and well beaten. He has won this season and gets a class drop, but the 1400m record remains a clear query for win purposes. |

ODEN CIEL
HIROTSUGU OZAWA 3YO BAY FILLY 54.0KG Returns from a one-month freshening after a weak ninth at Urawa, beaten over 17 lengths by Okashi Daisuki Man when settling back and losing further ground late. Her previous run at Urawa was similar, again beaten over 17 lengths by Poppy Red. With no placing from 14 starts and no placing in twelve runs at the trip, others have stronger claims. |

SEMPREVERDE
HIRONORI SATO 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 54.0KG Was eighth at Kawasaki last start, beaten over 12 lengths by Cutie Phaethon after conceding a big start and only finishing fairly. That was an improvement on her last here behind Vuelo Oscuras, where she faded late and was beaten over 17 lengths. Two career wins keep her in the minor-money conversation, but she needs the race shape to help from off the speed. |

ARABIAN D'ORO
KATSUFUMI SUZUKI 3YO DK B COLT 56.0KG Returns from a one-month break after finishing second last at Urawa, beaten over 18 lengths by Egal at big odds after giving away a huge start. The start prior was another rearward effort when eighth and beaten over 10 lengths by Takaichi Shohei. His 1400m record has some merit, but current form says he needs a sharp turnaround. |

SARASA CHARMING
H SASAKI 3YO CHESTNUT FILLY 54.0KG Yoshiaki Yokoi Produced her best recent effort at Kawasaki last start, finishing fourth and beaten two lengths by Riko Walleye after settling rearward as an outside chance in betting. That was a sizeable improvement on her previous seventh here, when beaten over 16 lengths after fading out late. She still has to overcome a winless nine-start profile, but her latest run puts her in this race. |
11 HIROTO ITO |

D S PHOTON
H SASAKI 3YO CHESTNUT COLT 56.0KG Returns from a lengthy spell after a debut second at Kawasaki in a 2yo COND, beaten half a length by Kazuya when near the top of an open market and just edged late. That single run gives him some natural appeal at this track and trip, but the absence is substantial and he has to prove he can reproduce it as a three-year-old. |
