RED BIRCH (7) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by half a length over 1200m at Fairview All Weather. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Winning rider Craig Zackey stays aboard and she is a key runner. DAFFODIL DELIGHT (3) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4 lengths when seventh over 1200m at this track five weeks ago. Worth noting Richard Fourie goes aboard. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. QUEEN OF JAZZ (8) is back from a break of ten weeks. Raced below par at her only appearance last prep when ninth over 1400m at Fairview All Weather. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. MARKETA (5) has not won for a long while. Last raced on August 21 when beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth at Fairview All Weather over 1300m after being prominent until the final stages. Can turn things around.
