KASAMATSU   11 Sep 2026

GOING:

Race 3 1400m

Track:

Without a great deal of early pace evident Ridge Line may lead the way over A Shin Nimbus. HEENA SCHAUM (7) is the top pick despite a costly fourth as odds-on favourite here last start; the third-up setup, class drop and distance profile give her the clearest rebound case in a race without many convincing last-start winners. RIDGE LINE (3) has the best local substance, coming off a second at Kasamatsu and already boasting a win and a placing from six track-and-trip attempts, so he is the obvious horse to make her earn it. PALUSTRIS (6) resumes from five months off with a mixed Saga profile: a fair third two back, then a plain seventh when fancied, which makes readiness the key. MEISHO MIZUHO (1) appeals for exotics after hitting the line better here last time, while A SHIN NIMBUS (2) needs to hold it together late after being swamped first-up. Fitter for that.

Made a far better fist of it at Kasamatsu last start, picking up nicely in the straight for fourth behind Kataphraktos, beaten just under four lengths on good ground. That was a clear advance on her 3yo Maiden run at Fukushima Dirt, where she conceded a huge start and was beaten over 18 lengths. Still unplaced from five, but race fitness and that latest finish put her in the minor-money mix.

Eishindo Co. Ltd.
Showed more speed first-up at Kasamatsu, holding a narrow lead before being swamped into fifth behind Kataphraktos, beaten six and a half lengths after starting at big odds. Her previous 3yo Maiden run at Hanshin Dirt was much weaker, settling rearward and finishing last at long odds. The class drop and strong local rider/trainer profile help, but she must finish off better to turn that into a placing.

Put himself back in the conversation with a solid second at Kasamatsu last start, beaten four lengths by Conduct O Harae after being near the top of betting. He is already a track-and-trip winner, with one win and one place from six runs over this course and distance, and the winning rider returns. The distance query remains noted, but his local record and on-pace draw give him a proper winning platform.

Worked home reasonably from an 800m assignment at Kasamatsu last start, finishing fourth behind Beast Wars, but the margin was still nine and a half lengths. Two back she was seventh and finished a distant last after being unwanted in the market. The preparation is trending the right way, yet the rise to 1400m asks another question and others have stronger claims.

Settled rearward at Kasamatsu last start and never threatened when fifth behind Butchigire, beaten over 14 lengths at generous odds. Two back he did close off from an impossible position, but the result was still a heavy defeat behind Tureis. The class drop is only a small help while he remains unplaced from five starts, so a sizeable lift is required.

Returns from a five-month break after a plain Saga run, where she was seventh behind Nishino Nasturtium, beaten just over eight lengths after sitting just off the pace and only battling. The prior third behind T M Kamikaze, beaten just over three lengths as favourite, reads much better. No wins from five keeps a small reservation in place, but now with Hirohiro Moriyama she has enough past form to be a strong player if ready first-up.

Had the market strongly on side at Kasamatsu last start, but could only manage fourth behind Butchigire, beaten over 12 lengths as the odds-on favourite after being fair to the line. That followed a second-last finish in a 3yo Maiden over 1600m at Chukyo when big odds. The bare form is not flattering, yet third-up, down in class and rated well for this trip, she gets a genuine chance to turn it around.

Returns from a one-month freshening after finishing a distant last at Kasamatsu, where she was unwanted in the market behind Ocea Fairmont on a fast track. The run prior at Tokyo Dirt was also plain, ending last and well beaten by 28 lengths at big odds. A leading jockey is a small positive, but her recent margins leave her needing sharp improvement.
