Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. Weak maiden where LYREBIRD LADY (7) gets her chance. Former Victorian who has placed both runs for the new yard and now steps out to a mile for the first time. Overdue for a win and won't get a better chance to find winning form. SHINES DISCREETLY (3) is an eight-start maiden yet to place but has been racing in richer maidens on the mainland. Led and faded last time on the Pakenham synthetic and looks well placed in the small field here. Take catching. GYM PRINCESS (5) is course and distance placed and has solid top-three prospects. HIGHLAND DASH (6) is mixing form but back in trip and should be winding up late. GUBER (1) has had a lot of chances and now stretching out in journey. Can do better.
