KASAMATSU   11 Sep 2026

GOING:

Race 11 1400m

Track:

Wornitz to take charge ahead of Dat Dere at a solid tempo. SUSSAN FIRST (8) looks the horse to beat despite only battling into sixth behind Miraculum here two weeks ago. His broader Kasamatsu 1400m record is sound, he has won three times at the track and distance, and this looks a suitable C3 assignment if he can hold a midfield spot from the draw. DAT DERE (1) comes through the same race in better recent form, finishing third and beating Sussan First home, with barrier one giving him the chance to race handy again. WORNITZ (3) resumes after three months and is the likely leader, but he folded badly when last seen after being prominent in betting, so he is more a danger than a clear top pick. MARGOT CARA (6) also resumes and has a class-drop angle, though her last two runs were plain. WIN ALICE (7) brings the strongest track-and-distance strike rate and is better back to 1400m, but recent 1580m runs leave her needing to sharpen up.

YUYA GOTO
4YO  DK B  HORSE 54.0KG

Worked home evenly for third in a 3yo+ C4 over 1400m at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten three and a half lengths by Miraculum after starting as an outside chance in the betting. The start prior was less convincing, finishing sixth in a 3yo+ C8 after getting too far back, but he did beat Sussan First home last time. Barrier one and race fitness give him a sound chance if the distance query is managed.

Settled well back and was never in the race when last of seven in a 3yo+ C5 at Kasamatsu four weeks ago, beaten eight and a half lengths by Unsung Heroine. His previous fourth behind Hikaruno Nagi was also over 11 lengths away despite looming briefly. Two wins at this track and distance, plus a good record with Tsutsui Yusuke, are positives, but recent form says he must lift sharply.

Resumes after three months off following a disappointing eighth in a 3yo+ B7C2 at Kasamatsu, where he led clearly but weakened sharply and was beaten over 14 lengths by Ginno Aranami. The run prior, he was sent out an odds-on favourite over 1580m and finished fourth behind Specialight. His record with Tatsuya Watanabe is solid, but he looks more a place hope until he sustains that early speed.

Was never in the picture when second last in a 3yo+ C4 at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten just under ten lengths by Miraculum after settling too far away. She had earlier worked home fairly for fifth in a 3yo+ C5 behind Unsung Heroine, but again was never a winning threat. The jockey-horse record is useful support, yet she needs the race to unfold perfectly from off the speed.

Finished last over 1580m at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten out of sight by Curren Iverson after settling miles back and failing to improve. That followed a second-last at Nagoya in a 3yo+ C7, beaten over 15 lengths by Mont Saint Freesia at big odds. Dropping back to 1400m is some help on paper, but the recent margins make him very hard to recommend.

Returns from a four-month break after finishing last in a 3yo+ B5 at Kasamatsu, beaten over 17 lengths by Yoko My Love after leading and compounding. Her prior Niigata run in 4yo+ ALLOW company was also plain, settling rearward and making no impression behind Melange. The class drop and one win from six starts at this distance keep her in the mix, but she must rebound cleanly fresh.

Was prominent but could not finish off when fifth over 1580m at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten just over eight lengths by Curren Iverson as one near the top of betting. The run prior was similar, fifth behind Tomoegozen after coming under pressure late. Back to 1400m is the key positive, with three wins from four starts at this track and distance making her a genuine place chance.

MASAYOSHI GOTO

Battled into sixth in a 3yo+ C4 at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten seven and a half lengths by Miraculum after sitting just off the pace. The start prior was a fifth in a 3yo+ C5 behind Iks Clover, where he was never a winning chance but worked home fairly. His season form and three Kasamatsu 1400m wins give him a stronger profile than the last run alone suggests, and this is his chance to improve.

Finished seventh over 1580m at Kasamatsu two weeks ago, beaten over 13 lengths by Curren Iverson after settling just off the lead and offering no clear excuse. Two back she was more competitive, running third in a 3yo+ C5 behind Unsung Heroine over 1400m, beaten four lengths. Returning to the winning distance helps, but she needs to reproduce the earlier effort, not the latest one.
