HURRICANE LU (8) resumes here but the form she showed in her first preparation was good enough for a race of this nature. Revved up for this with a recent trial and a strong showing while fresh would not surprise. BLAKEMORE AVENUE (5) has put back-to-back victories together and it's hard to knock mares in form. Has to be included. LE CHOCOLAT (4) strips fitter third-up from the break and gets some weight off with the 2kg claim. Top-three commodity. AMORE VELOCE (2) is a two-time winner of this course and distance and will be at peak fitness for this. In the mix. DOWNEY (1) has strung two Toowoomba wins together and shouldn't be underestimated. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Hurricane Lu first-up.
