Goes very well fresh. Expected to play a major role. MUSICIAN (7) dug deep to score when fresh from a spell two runs back then was beaten 6 lengths into seventh over 2000m at Kyoto last time eight weeks ago. Sound record at this distance with two wins and two minor placings from six runs and looks a top chance. KING SQUALL (10) started at $5.20 last time but could only manage 11th, beaten 6 lengths, at this track over 2400m. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. One of the main contenders. WIN TREMENDOUS (9) had been performing well until racing below his best last time when eighth over 2000m at Tokyo. Has a formidable record at this journey with three wins and four placings from nine starts and cannot be taken lightly.
