Genuine tempo with the speedy Bar Jester crossing from the outside gate. BAR JESTER (1) speedy gelding kept fresh for this. Gave his all with a fighting fourth to Music Time over 1200m in the G3 Black Opal at Canberra. That form has since been franked with Music Time finishing third in the G1 Golden Slipper. Has the pace to get across and run a solid race. HELLENIC BELLE (7) back sharply in grade with a comfortable Maiden victory at start two over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Nice weight drop here and should get cover from the gate. Sure to be thereabouts. I'M A BEAUT (9) won the Boot Prelude at Dubbo on debut, with a slick 4 len win over 1100m. A repeat effort will see her take holding out from the inside gate. BETTER OFF ALONE (5) well travelled Sydney filly from the Baker yard. Back in grade with a fighting second over 1000m at Muswellbrook. Trip suits and sure to be thereabouts. GAY TARANTELLA (16) Holly Williams trained two-year-old filly by Press Statement on debut. Recent trial winner over 900m and worth thought. The chances don't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,7,9,5.
