Genuine tempo with Take The Chance and Jason Darren up front. Open contest. JUST ON FIRE (5) well placed for this and has a good record at this track and trip. Outclassed when tenth in the WRA Champs over 1400m at Dubbo two-back. Anchored with the 69kg when sixth over 1600m at Tullibigeal in the Picnic Cup. Anywhere near his best can see him his feature prominently. JASPER'S WAY (3) has been freshened since he was thrown in the deep end with a battling ninth over 1400m at Dubbo in the WRA Champs. Looking for this trip now in a winnable contest. TAKE THE CHANCE (9) won well over this trip two-back at Cowra, then worked hard from the wide gate to find the lead and wilt sharply to run twelfth over 2000m at Canberra. Well placed here and is a genuine winning chance from the low draw. LAGOON (8) chasing her third straight victory after she finished over the top of them with a comfortable victory over 1600m at Dubbo. In form and doesn't have to improve much to take this out. PERUNO (7) undefeated at this track in two starts and can surprise fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,3,9,8.
