American Gigolo can slide across and take up the running in a race devoid of early pace. AMERICAN GIGOLO (14) finished third, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 2000m at Kyoto on debut ten weeks ago and has been kept under wraps since. On speed and fought on well on debut. Can go on with the job this prep. FENDRE L'AIR (1) settled well back but hit the line well to finish ninth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 2000m here last time. Should be doing best work late. VIP WOLF (3) returns after nine weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a eighth over 2000m at Kokura. Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Kokura over 2000m. Has ability and is a leading player. DARLING DARLING (17) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Chukyo, beaten 10 lengths into sixth. Better than recent efforts suggest.
