GOING: H(8)

FOY AND HALSE LAWYERS 2100m

Track:     Out 9m

Ortem Legacy should be able to comfortably find the front. ASTARTE (11) has really come into her own this year, following on from some solid placed form, with a pair of tough wins in her last couple of starts. She is up in class here, but the field is not overly strong, and with 2.5kg less to carry, the hat-trick beckons. PROBOY (2) can get himself into a fizz in the barriers, but he was still good enough to overcome that and win at this level by a neck at Wanganui nearly a month ago. He cops more weight, but in the same class, he has to be hard to beat again. ALTARI (3) ran home strongly for third in a tougher grade at Matamata a month ago, and he has Opie Bosson back in the saddle this time. He likes some cut in the ground, and with a drop in class, he can take this out. CHARLBURY (7) needed his fresh run at Te Aroha just over 2 weeks ago after winning a trial before that. She can settle a touch closer from the pole position, and she is a sound top 4 chance here. ORTEM LEGACY (8) won a trial prior to her fresh fifth at Pukekohe. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Charlbury each way.
