Solid tempo likely with Makhachev, Heroes'n'villains and Wire To Wire prominent. MAKHACHEV (6) showed plenty of dash when resuming over 1300m at Canberra last start but there wasn't much left in the tank over the final stages. Five winners have come from that race so he found a tough one without a race fitness edge. Should come on in leaps and bounds now and this looks a very nice assignment. HEROES'N'VILLAINS (18) has raced just twice and been in contention at the corner on each occasion but just failed to finish things off. Can improve at this early stage so worth another chance. BEACHED AS BRO (4) struck form last time out at the third run back from a break, catching the eye late to get up for third over this distance at Wagga. Major player if he can build on that performance. TIME FOR SNOW (8) flashed home but just missed when resuming over 1200m at Wagga recently. Will enjoy the extra 200m, with a wide gate the main concern. OUBAITORI (9) has been edged out narrowly at her last two and from the inside draw is sure to be competitive again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Makhachev.
