Tactical given the lack of speed. LANTA (1) gets the blinkers on for the first time today after a sound performance first-up over the 1300m journey here. He'll be fitter for that effort and Faithfull replaces the apprentice hoop today. Can build on the fresh effort and knock over his maiden. BUON AMICI (3) finished off soundly from midfield in the same race as Lanta last start, finishing 2.7L off the winner. He jumped favourite in that race and did come in without a trial. Draws well again today and can turn in an improved effort. CANNOTSTOP (4) is another who gets the blinkers on first time today and won his recent trial at Belmont. Staples was on board for his latest outing and remains in the irons for his return to the races. Can make an impression if he runs up to that recent trial effort. MAD SPITFIRE (2) was 30-1 last start but was solid on resumption here. Keep safe. ROYAL GUARDIAN (6) can improve on the fresh effort with Fiore on board now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lanta makes the most appeal.
