Sizzling pace from Wandering Eye, Strasbeau and River Clyde locking horns ahead of The Streaker and The Last Stand. SAMANTH (7) doesn't win out of turn and while she was disappointing last time, her prior form stacks right up for this. Gets in light with the 4kg claimer back on. If she's anywhere near her best she will be very competitive. HATESCHOOLCONCERTS (8) fought bravely to only miss by a long neck in a bunched finish last time at Balaklava. Has been kept fresh and if she holds her form she will be right there again at the business end. WANDERING EYE (1) has progressed nicely in his last two and should be hitting his straps now on the home track, where he boasts a handy record. Don't take lightly. AVANZO (9) ground away soundly into a minor finish when resuming at Clare. Is sure to have come on from that on the quick back-up and rates one of the main chances this time around. AGRESSIVE BEE (10) is yet to threaten but is building. Will need some luck from the wide alley but can play a role with freshened legs. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Samanth.
