Slick tempo with God's Wrath to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. SPANGLEDSTAR (3) turned in a much better effort here recently, beaten 1.2L just 9 days ago when bumping into a good one. Tsang rides now claiming 2kg and she rates highly on her most recent efforts. May get back in the run but watch for her flying late in the race. LUMINOUS LADY (7) got back in the run over 1100m fresh but closed off strongly when beaten 2.7L in the same race as Spangledstar. She'll be fitter for that effort and she still has plenty of upside. Can get back to her best form now. IN YOUR POCKET (10) is on debut for the local stable after and gets the stable's strike jockey on board from an inside barrier. Trials have just been fair, but this doesn't look an overly strong race. Can feature in the finish on debut. DOWNTOWN PASADENA (9) is similar to In Your Pocket and gets Fiore in the irons. Won't be far away from a favourable alley. DEEPLY ROOTED (2) was solid first-up here off a short break and can go on with it. SUGGESTED PLAY: Spangledstar gets the nod.
