Solid tempo anticipated with Holder Maid leading the way. HOLDER MAID (6) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished second, beaten a head, over 1400m at Balaklava. This is an easier assignment and can take this out. TOORAK BLAZE (4) wasn't far away last time and is edging towards a win, the latest effort a solid third over a similar trip at Port Lincoln. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to stop if the tempo is genuine. LAVA LAD (1) couldn't live up to market expectations last time but wasn't that far off his best when tackling a tougher grade. Reunites with Potter who has a strong record when aboard, including four wins. Expected to measure up. SEA ROADS (7) warmed nicely late when resuming big odds at Balaklava, just missing the frame in a blanket finish. Is sure to have come on from that and carries no weight on his back with the 3kg claimer engaged. Don't take lightly. BANGERANG REDBACK (3) is a tough one to catch but can sneak a minor spot if on song. SUGGESTED PLAY: Holder Maid to win.
