Solid tempo with Shiki to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. SHIKI (9) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 15 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 850m at this track. Hard to beat in this suitable race. SOURIANTE (7) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 850m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into sixth. Worth noting Toshiki Yamamoto goes aboard. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. BLAU HORIZON (10) produced a good run two starts back to finish second but was below par last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip after he was prominent at the bend. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves another chance. MIKINO ICHIGO (2) ran a better race last start to finish a close third when second-up over 850m at this track. Well placed and can figure in the finish again.
