PARKES HANDICAP 1200m

Track: GOOD      

Strong tempo with Jumbo Treasure, Quantum Legend and Turquoise Velocity leading the charge. CROSSBORDERPEGASUS (1) only had one run last campaign where he was beaten by 1.5L behind a smart one who as the race favourite. He's had plenty of trials since then and Orman has partnered him in all of those. Blinkers go on now and he can return on a winning note. QUANTUM LEGEND (10) makes his Hong Kong debut today and has impressed at the trials, beaten G2 winner My Wish who was narrowly beaten in a feature race last Sunday. That reads very well for this and Purton has been with him all the way through. Can make an immediate impact. SMART GOLF (2) made it back-to-back wins last time out when winning by 0.3L, making every post a winner. He's been kept up to the mark with a recent trial and he's drawn perfectly to find the front again. Wouldn't surprise to see him extend his winning run. MY MARS (11) is another on debut who has impressed at the trials and he can play a leading role.
