Plenty of pace from Giovanni, One More Smile and Lucky Bay matching motors ahead of Eri King. ERI KING (1) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 1800m at Kyoto three months ago and has not been produced since. Has plenty of upside and can win again. ONE MORE SMILE (3) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 3 lengths over 1800m at Kokura. Plenty of scope for improvement and looks the obvious threat. GIOVANNI (2) impressed on debut over 1800m at Kokura 11 weeks ago and has not raced since. Likely to measure up against a couple of smart ones. LUCKY BAY (5) showed good early speed over 2000m at this track last time and went on to salute by half a length. Can figure in the finish again.
