Wise Words has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. ROCKSTAR STATUS (4) has been freshened up since finishing fourth at Port Hedland nearly 10 weeks ago and can make full use of the pole position. She has won 2 of her 3 starts over this trip and is likely to be motoring home late. If she cops the track, then she can have the last say. ARCHER COUNTY (2) has been in good form on the winter circuit and has won his last 2 starts on the bounce, including his last start at Junction a fortnight ago. The drop back to 1200m and a tricky gate are both queries but in his current space, he can complete the hat-trick. COUNTTHEHEADLIGHTS (6) is an ex-Victorian gelding making his West Australian debut and he has already changed stables after a couple of fair Belmont trials. He has had a long time off the track but this is the easiest race that he has faced in his career so a big run can be expected, especially if there is any money for him. WISE WORDS (5) has not run a poor race for some time and is expected to be hard to beat again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rockstar Status to win.
