Strong tempo from the outset with Torbreck, Shadyvale Storm and Rejoiced leading the charge. Tough. KORUTO (2) is third up and has been racing in town. Made up a lot of ground beaten 3.6L in a 78 at Doomben last time and comes to this third-up. The rails gate is a niggle but he's suited. SELLING SUNSET (8) was quickly back to form winning at Goondiwindi and she went close 2x in town last preparation. The gate is awkward but she gets in light and fitter has claims. BOLD PEDRO (4) picked up impressively winning an Open at Rockhampton over 1300m heavily bet. This is a bit harder but he will carry 54.5 with the 3kg claim. Draws awkwardly but is a chance. COLLAY'S SPIRIT (9) has been around the mark in strong races and the two recent Doomben efforts stack right up. Maps well and is likely to feature. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Koruto.
