Lack of early pace suggests a pedestrian tempo is on the cards over this journey. Very plain affair. Maiden WICKED GAMES (6) did a good job to finish second two runs back over this trip at Scone then disappointed at Grafton last start. Has had plenty of chances but if he finds the Scone form he can take this out. HOTZINO (4) has changed stables since an even effort to finish midfield over this trip at Grafton 12 days ago. No wins in 70 weeks but this presents a great opportunity. AVOID THE MISSTRES (3) charged home from last on straightening to miss by a head two runs back over the mile at Toowoomba. Subsequently failed on the Gold Coast poly. New to this trip but back on turf on a seven-day back-up puts her in the picture. GANGPLANK (1) never looked likely last start over today's journey at Grafton. This is easier so he can sneak into the top three. NEFI (9) is a lightweight hope on a six-day turnaround. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wicked Games on top.
