Plenty of pressure on from the outset with some speedy types engaged in the good-sized field. LAVENDER BAY (10) tried hard when second over 1800m on this course last time. She is having her peak run today and will be cherry-ripe. She is a progressive type and with a bit of luck from her wide draw of ten should be the one to beat. LITTLE SUZIE (11) was disappointing in her last start over 1400m on this course. She should be suited to the mile and with luck, she should throw out a big challenge. SANSA STARK (1) rallied late when finishing second over this course and distance last time. She has drawn pole position and it would be no surprise to see her in the winner's enclosure. FORGOTTEN SONG (5) was out of the money two runs back when fresh-up from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, finishing fourth of nine. Has her share of ability and is a top-three prospect.
