BETWAY MAIDEN PLATE 1200m Track: GOOD Rain (Max: 7) |
||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Hot early pace from Sutherland, Ragamuffin and Tiger Storm going hammer-and-tongs, with a few others keeping them honest. INSPECTOR JAMES (6) showed good improvement when second over 1000m on the Standside course here last time out. He raced from just off the pace and fought on to the finish. He is a progressive type and will love the rise to 1200m. S'manga Khumalo takes the ride and he can go one better. SUTHERLAND (1) is in a good space and it must be noted that multiple horses from those races have come out and won since. He will be running on strongly and can have the last say this time. TIGER STORM (3) is heading the right way with his form and he should enjoy the step up to 1200m. He has more to offer and should have a say in the outcome of this contest. ANTONIO GAUDI (4) fought on bravely when second over this distance at the Vaal last time. If this run has not come too soon, he should be right in the finish again.
