Good early tempo with several going forward, primarily Gamer, Towers Of Gold and Gold Fever. TOWERS OF GOLD (2) is lightly raced with good form lines to his credit. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the final 400m. He will have no issues with the drop to 1500m and if keeping on a straight line, he should be the one to beat. GAMER (1) has been racing in good form recently. He fought on gamely when fourth over 2000m on this course last time out. Raymond Danielson is booked to ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. OBSIDIAN (6) was in need of his debut effort over 1160m on the Standside course here. It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. He should enjoy the rise to 1500m and there should be further improvement to come. CLIFFIE CLAVIN (5) was his own worst enemy over a mile last time as he raced too keenly in the early stages. If switching off early, he can finish in the placings in this line-up. Each way value.
